In the last few days before 'Chaand Raat', (literally meaning 'Night of Moon' when the glimpse of 'New' moon will herald "Eid-Ul-Fitr", marking end of the Holy month of Ramzan), the streets leading up to Jama Masjid are a mind-boggling riot of lights, colors, festive gaiety, and Obviously Food!!

And on the Last Friday before Eid the 'ALVIDA JUMMA IFTAARI' organised annually by Team DBF inside the sacred courtyard of the grand Jama Masjid ....under the shadows of the twin minarets of the Jama Masjid is an experience you will treasure for a lifetime....

Join us as we sit down with our Muslim brethren who gather around in company of their friends and family, around a selection of traditional foods and sherbets, attired in traditional dresses, ready for the Jumma Iftaari rituals...children, women and men share a silent prayer and at the auspicious hour of 'Iftaar' in unison water, a morsel of food is taken...

The perfect time for "F&F" - fotography....and yes food too....savour the Special Chaat-Pakodi, Kheer-Khajlas, Sewaiyaan-Samosas, Kulfis-Kebabs, Breads-Biryanis and more which await us in Delhi6!

DAY, DATE & TIME: Friday, 23rd June, 6:30PM onwards, till as long as you can last!!! MEETING POINT: Jama Masjid Mosque Gate #3 (Nr. Dariba Kalan Side) CHARGES: Rs 1200/person (Incl. cultural heritage walk and choicest selection of veg & non-veg foods/beverages) Children below 8 yrs go free. From Ages 9-12yrs, it is 50% of charges. Plz don't book a child's ticket, you can pay us in cash at venue These charges cover all costs for the traditional food & beverages.
